We are seeking an experienced and skilled Analytics Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will manage and enhance our data infrastructure, ensuring efficient data movement and transformation across cloud-based systems. You will also create and manage Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models to support data-driven decision-making.
Ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Azure Data Services, SQL, and data modeling, combined with technical expertise in Power BI. Deep understanding of data analysis, passion for delivering high-quality, scalable, and secure data solutions, and ability to design visually compelling and user-friendly reports and dashboards is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement data solutions, architecting and building scalable data pipelines and warehouses using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL, and other Azure data services.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT processes for efficient data transfer and transformation across diverse sources and targets.
- Manage data warehouse infrastructure components (pipelines, storage, data marts) ensuring seamless operation and efficient management.
- Design and implement data models for scalability and performance of the data warehouse and data marts.
- Integrate structured and unstructured data from on-premises and cloud sources, ensuring data quality and consistency.
- Monitor data pipelines for efficiency, optimize performance, and troubleshoot issues using scripting (PowerShell, Python) and automation tools.
- Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards and reports providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Develop dynamic reports with drill-down capabilities, filtering options, and custom visualizations.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to gather report requirements and understand KPIs. Translate business needs into effective Power BI solutions.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in data engineering, data governance, and security protocols. Maintain understanding of data privacy and compliance requirements.
- Create and maintain documentation for data processes, pipeline configurations, and system architecture.
- Provide training and support to business users on Power BI reports and dashboards.
Required Experience and Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics or equivalent.
- Experience in Azure Data Services (Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage).
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Power BI development.
- Strong proficiency in Power BI tools (Power Query, DAX, Power BI Service).
- Ability to design and implement interactive, visually appealing reports and dashboards.
- Experience with data governance, security practices, and cloud-based solutions.
