Job Details
We’re looking for an Analytics Engineer, GTM Analytics to join our team within Procore’s Corporate Strategy & Operation (CS&O) organization.
The role is critical to Procore’s growth and success will be highly visible. Procore is a world leader in construction software and so we are fond of construction metaphors; in this role, we want someone who thinks like an architect.
You will design efficient data pipelines, particularly around customer lifecycle data, that reduce risks of error and make it easy for business analysts to deliver insights.
You will standardize existing key metrics, and also create new analytical frameworks that measure the success of corporate strategic initiatives. This position will report to our Director, GTM Analytics, and can work remotely from any US location or in one of Procore’s US-based locations. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.
What you'll do:
- Architect, build, and maintain foundational data models and reporting/consumption layers in dbt
- Develop self-service tooling that surfaces key growth metrics to provide teams with visibility into the business
- Partner with Data Engineers to maintain the data platform, monitor testing, and establish new data pipelines
- Build automated testing and quality control of data pipelines and surface issues to operational teams
- Collaborate with various business and analytic teams to better understand their needs and build scalable solutions
- Independently lead initiatives in facilitating information gathering, structured documentation, and presentation of findings to all levels of management
- Implement data governance processes through documentation, observability, and controls
- Communicate with stakeholders and leaders in Strategy, Engineering, Product and Finance
What we're looking for:
- 3-5 years of work experience in analytics or data engineering roles
- Bachelor’s Degree in an analytical field (e.g., Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics or specialized training/certification); or equivalent work experience
- Fluent in SQL with a solid understanding of database design and modeling best practices
- Strong perspective on analytics development cycle (data modeling, version control, documentation + testing, best practices for codebase development)
- Inquisitive mindset with a drive to make connections about customer outcomes using lifecycle and product engagement data.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
- Solid communication skills with the ability to present strong data-driven storylines and content to both general and senior audiences
Nice to haves:
- experience with Python and and workflow management tools (e.g. Airflow)
- experience with Tableau or similar visualization tools
Base Pay Range $113,040 - $155,430. Eligible for Bonus Incentive Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation, and has provided an estimated pay range for this role. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.
