Full-Time Assistant Global Corporate Controller

About the Position: The Assistant Global Corporate Controller is a critical role within NielsenIQ, reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer. The role directs accounting policies, ensures US GAAP compliance, and leads global accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead global financial closing process for timeliness and accuracy.
2. Ensure compliance with Company policies, US GAAP, and SEC reporting.
3. Prepare financial reports (monthly internal statements, quarterly lender reports, SEC reports).
4. Establish new accounting policies and procedures.
5. Direct oversight of complex/subjective technical accounting areas (goodwill impairment, purchase accounting, etc.).
6. Provide technical accounting guidance and training.
7. Manage external and internal audits.
8. Drive continuous improvement in financial processes.
9. Oversee accounting department staffing and associate development.
10. Support M&A efforts.

Qualifications:

• 15+ years of corporate accounting experience, including technical accounting (US GAAP) research and SEC reporting.
• Big 5 Public accounting experience required.
• Active US CPA license.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and SEC reporting.
• Proficient with data analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
• Proficient in accounting software (OneStream, SAP preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and process rigor.

Compensation: $145,500 - $258,000 (based on experience).
