Job Opportunity at Guardant Health: Join the growing Screening and Early Detection commercial team as a field-based Associate Account Executive to support go-to-market sales strategy and launch a revolutionary cancer screening technology.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect and target healthcare providers for high utilization of SHIELD for CRC screening.
- Meet or exceed sales goals and maximize promotional budgets.
- Seek strategic business expansion and collaboration opportunities with primary care providers.
- Develop and implement a business plan aligned with brand strategy for the launch.
- Identify and partner with national, regional, and local labs for phlebotomy draw agreements.
- Analyze competitive landscape and provide customer feedback to leadership.
- Recommend strategic plans for gaining and retaining clients.
- Manage promotional activities to support sales and marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with sales team to achieve company goals.
- Represent Guardant Health values.
- Must be able to travel daily within the assigned territory and to regional/national meetings.
- Comply with company Quality Management System policies.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years' experience in customer-facing field-based sales, preferably in healthcare (diagnostics, medical devices, or pharmaceuticals).
- Proven closing abilities and performance exceeding expectations.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Strong consultative selling skills, overcoming objections and connecting client needs to GH capabilities.
- Extensive market, customer, distribution, and product knowledge.
- Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to develop and utilize cross-functional relationships.
- Strong administrative skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (Salesforce and Veeva preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in diagnostic product sales to primary care providers.
- Product launch planning and execution experience.
- Familiarity with primary care practice landscape in assigned territory.
Personal Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to meet doctor office and clinic entry requirements.
- Ability to travel daily.
Compensation:
US base salary range: $96,000 - $105,000 (does not include benefits, bonus, commission, or equity).
Additional Information:
- Employee may be required to lift office supplies and use office equipment.
- Majority of work in a desk/office environment, but potential exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard materials in lab environments.
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
