Opportunity: Join Guardant Health's growing Screening and Early Detection team as a field-based Associate Account Executive, supporting go-to-market strategy and launching a new cancer screening technology. Focus on promoting colorectal cancer liquid biopsy (SHIELD) to primary care providers.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect and target healthcare providers for high SHIELD utilization.
- Meet/exceed sales goals and maximize promotional budgets.
- Seek strategic partnerships with primary care practices.
- Develop and implement business plans aligned with brand strategy.
- Identify and partner with labs for phlebotomy draw agreements.
- Identify opportunities, share best practices, and communicate with cross-functional partners.
- Analyze competitive landscape and provide customer feedback.
- Recommend strategic plans for gaining/retaining clients.
- Manage promotional activities in assigned territory.
- Collaborate with sales teams to achieve company objectives.
- Represent Guardant Health values.
- Travel: Daily within territory, occasional regional/national meetings.
Requirements:
- 2+ years customer-facing, field-based sales experience (preferably in healthcare).
- Proven closing abilities & performance exceeding expectations.
- Excellent communication & presentation skills.
- Consultative selling skills; overcoming objections and connecting client needs with Guardant Health.
- Strong market, customer, product, and distribution knowledge.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Confidentiality and handling sensitive information.
- Developing cross-functional relationships.
- Working independently, managing multiple projects, and meeting deadlines.
- Proficient administrative skills, in-person, phone, and virtual selling.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems (Salesforce/Veeva preferred).
- Preferred: Experience with diagnostic product sales to primary care providers; product launch experience; familiarity with primary care practice landscape; high-touch customer service skills.
- Personal Requirements: Valid driver's license, clean driving record; ability to meet doctor office/clinic entry requirements; daily travel.
Compensation: $96,000 - $105,000 (US base salary, benefits/bonuses/commission excluded). Individual pay varies based on location and skills.
