Full-Time Associate Staff Engineer, QA Automation (Investment Management)

Requirements:

1. Total Experience: 5+ years
2. Hands-on experience in Java, JavaScript, Selenium, Test Complete
3. Strong working experience in BFSI and investment banking domain
4. Must have experience in Investment Management
5. Strong experience in testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, Appium, Espresso, Postman, Rest Assured, and JMeter
6. Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and best practices, including build and source control automation tools like Jenkins, Git, and MS Azure DevOps
7. Hands-on experience with API/Web Service testing
8. Good to have Creation of Test Plan/Test Strategy/ Test Approach
9. Strong knowledge of Test monitoring and control, Risk Management, Preparing Quality Metrics and Defect Management
10. Expertise in Test Estimation, review of Test cases, Test Reporting, Test case creation & Execution and Testing process models like Agile /V-model
11. In-depth knowledge of different testing types
12. Should have experience in Understanding of Test architecture and Test design, Debugging and Troubleshooting Skills, Testing Process for Agile, V-Model, Waterfall
13. Develop and present QA defect and status reports, Knowledge and application of Bug Tracking and Performance testing
14. Review and assessment of test programs
15. Skillset for Manual/QA Tester
16. Knowledge of Functional and Regression Test Script Preparation
17. Ability to simplify solutions, optimize processes, and resolve escalated issues efficiently
18. Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for continuous improvement
19. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
20. Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and staying updated on industry trends

Responsibilities:

• Understanding the projects functional and non-functional requirements and the business context of the application being developed
• Understanding and documenting requirements validated by the SMEs
• Interacting with clients to identify the scope of testing, expectations, acceptance criteria and availability of test data and environment
• Working closely with product owner in defining and refining acceptance criteria
• Preparing test plan/strategy
• Estimating the test effort and preparing schedules for testing activities, assigning tasks, identifying constraints and dependencies
• Risk management identifying, mitigating and resolving business and technical risks
• Designing and developing a framework for automated testing following the project's design and coding guidelines
• Set up best practices for test automation
• Preparing test reports to summarize the outcome of the testing phase and recommending whether the application is in a shippable state or not
• Communicating measurable quality metrics, with the ability to highlight problem areas and suggest solutions
• Participating in retrospective meetings, helping identify the root cause of any quality related issue and identifying ways to continuously improve the testing process
• Conducting demos of the application for internal and external stakeholders
• Reviewing all testing artifacts prepared by the team and ensuring that defects found during the review are tracked to closure
• Working with team and stakeholders to triage and prioritize defects for resolution
• Giving constructive feedback to the team members and setting clear expectations
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
