The core responsibility of the Food Assurance Certification US Audit Execution Manager is to oversee and actively manage all elements of the audit process, including management of full-time and contract auditors. This encompasses everything from scheduling completion to preparing the certification manager package for all audit executions.
Responsibilities Include:
- Primary accountability for all audit services, from scheduling to execution, reporting, corrective action review, and certification package preparation, aligning with program requirements.
- Supporting the development, documentation, implementation, and operation of operating procedures, training, and policies, supported by tools.
- Managing all audit execution elements, report creation, and corrective action review consistent with performance KPIs.
- Developing and managing a team of auditors (full-time and contract) for food safety and integrity certification and supplier auditing to effectively execute audit and certification services.
- Managing auditor competency requirements and collaborating with technical and scheme managers to establish and maintain general and scheme-specific competency requirements, training, and signoffs.
- Coordinating and leading regular auditor calibration meetings.
- Managing assigned human resources, including annual performance reviews for direct reports, and coordinating/reviewing other personnel reviews.
- Understanding and communicating client requirements and critical success factors for audit execution, optimizing client satisfaction.
- Supporting maintenance of accreditations for US-based certification programs.
- Staying updated on industry developments through events, networking, and associations.

Knowledge Requirements
- Understanding of business and management principles (strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources, leadership, production methods, and coordination).
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service (customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards, evaluation of customer satisfaction).
- Knowledge of food safety certification scheme requirements, food product and management system accreditation requirements, quality management systems, general audit processes, procedures, and best practices.
Additional Requirements
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Food, Quality, or Business.
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing food auditing activities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead businesses related to Food Assurance in a local and globalized environment.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and secure resources for business goals.
- Strong communication skills.
- Out-of-the-box thinking, self-motivated, result-driven, and independent work style.
- Authorization to work in the US indefinitely.
- Travel required (mostly US, less in Europe, sometimes Asia).
Full-time position, Monday-Friday, first shift, with additional hours as needed
