Job Details
Aviation Advisor Responsibilities:
Provides aviation safety advice, conducts operational and technical audits, and completes aviation projects for SGS Aviation Compliance clients.
Advises clients on regulatory requirements and best international practice, supported by peer review.
Works directly with clients on aviation matters according to SGS standards and procedures.
Plans and conducts aviation audits, assessing operator safety for clients.
Manages aviation projects for clients.
Provides technical and commercial aviation advice.
Prepares audit and project reports with recommendations for continuous improvement of client activities.
Follows up and resolves issues.
Maintains professional contact and relationships with clients.
Maintains professional qualifications through training and seminars.
Discharges administrative duties.
Complies with SGS QHSE and HR policies and procedures.
Complies with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.
Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma
- 15+ years hands-on aircraft technology experience
- 15+ years aviation experience
- Commercial Pilot Certificate
- Helicopter experience
- Oil, Gas, Mining industry experience
- Quality Assurance experience in aviation, relevant to SGS Compliance Aviation
- People management experience
- Intermediate MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Management systems auditing experience at Lead Auditor level
- Aircraft Mechanic License
- Airline Transport Pilots License
- Advisor, participating in the Basic Aviation Risk Standard (BARS) auditing program
- Flight Engineer License or Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licenses
- Valid Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) certificate

Competitive salary range: $100,500-$134,000 USD.
