As a BI & Data Engineer, you will:
- Provide technical expertise in database/data system development and data infrastructure setup.
- Collect/consolidate data from various sources and organize them into usable formats.
- Use statistical tools to derive meaningful information/insights from raw business data and analyze data to find answers to specific questions.
- Assess quality and meanings of data and cleanse corrupted data for integrity and accuracy.
- Create data visualizations and reports for other stakeholders to comprehend business facts and trends to make better decisions.
- Work with relevant stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data governance strategies.
- Create appropriate documentation that allows others to understand data analysis processes and steps to foster wide adoption of data processing techniques.
- Liaise with various departments and internal stakeholders to create collaborative work relationships – understand their data requirements, propose the solutions, advocate the team values, obtain their supports when required, etc.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or above in engineering or equivalent disciplines.
- 3+ years of experience as a data/BI analyst or in a related field with good understanding and hands-on experience in data warehouse development.
- Proven skills in Microsoft Power BI and Power Query, Power Pivot, Data Model, DAX, Visual Reporting, etc.
- Proficient in Azure SQL database, Data factory and common ELT/ETL tools.
- Good knowledge of relational database management system and SQL language.
- 5+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing industry with good knowledge of electronics components and materials, manufacturing operation and supply chain management.
- Good knowledge of Product BOM, PLM and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Strong mathematical, statistical, and analytical skills – the ability to analyze, model and interpret data, identify trends, patterns, and insights from data.
- Experience in Engineering Documentation & Control is desirable.
- Experience in Microsoft SharePoint, Dataverse, Lists, Teams, etc. is desirable.
