Support studies related to: meta-analysis, network meta-analysis, indirect treatment comparisons, health economic models, trial simulation, and exploratory analysis of clinical and real-world data.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Independently executes statistical aspects of projects that meet client expectations.
- Provide one-on-one mentorship to new employees and co-ops.
- Assists in the training of junior statisticians.
- Develop statistical analysis plans.
- Conduct statistical analyses.
- Develop reports.
- Interpret and disseminate findings.
- Oversee and implement quality control activities.
- Lead or participate in the development or modification of novel statistical analysis code.
- Creates, maintains, or extends R packages and R Shiny applications.
- Participating in meetings with clients.
- All other duties as assigned.
EXPECTATIONS:
- Travel: Some travel may be required.
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
- Overtime and/or weekend/evening hours may be required.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- PhD or MSc in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, Health Economics or related field.
- 1-3 years of direct work experience.
- Strong basis in fundamental statistical concepts.
- Strong statistical programming skills (R, WinBUGS/OpenBUGS, SAS, STATA).
- Experience analyzing patient-level data.
- Ability to plan, oversee, and manage coding conventions.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Effective communication skills (spoken and written).
- Effective training and mentorship.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with meta-analysis, indirect comparisons, etc.
- Practical experience in health technology appraisal.
- Proficiency in JavaScript.
- Proficiency with computer programming software (e.g., VBA).
