Job Details

We are recruiting a Business Development Executive to drive sales in the Ireland medical device market.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop sales strategy for medical devices.
  • Identify and win new business in the allocated market.
  • Manage existing customer accounts.
  • Qualify new leads for testing, consultancy, and packaging services.
  • Win business for laboratory services.
  • Assist with strategic business planning.
  • Analyze client needs for Eurofins Medical Device Services.
  • Develop short, medium, and long-term strategies for maximizing analytical service opportunities.
  • Collaborate with counterparts on account development.
  • Manage contractual processes (confidentiality, agreements, pricing).
  • Resolve commercial issues and negotiate.
  • Develop commercial and market awareness initiatives.
  • Qualify leads for non-active medical device testing.
  • Maintain and develop existing customer accounts.
  • Provide account, activity, and market status reports.
  • Plan and organize sales activities to achieve goals.
  • Evaluate sales data, prepare reports, and participate in sales planning.
  • Support the Eurofins sales force and key account management team.
  • Attend marketing activities (conferences, trade shows).
  • Visit clients.
  • Operate CRM software.
  • Maintain knowledge of regulated preclinical services.
  • Provide feedback on market analysis and development.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor/Master of Science (Biology, Chemistry, related fields).
  • Finance/business training desirable.
  • 3+ years of experience in medical device sales or business development.
  • Network of contacts in medical devices, biotechnology, and pharma.
  • Knowledge of ISO, GLP regulations.
  • Understanding of product commercialization, manufacturing/supply chain.
  • Knowledge of regulatory authorities, guidelines, and quality systems.
  • Teamwork and influence skills.
  • Networking skills (internal and external).
  • Senior-level influence and credibility.
  • Good communication and client understanding skills.
  • Ability to contribute to strategic direction.
  • Ability to work with counterparts globally.
  • Availability at the Ireland site.
  • Preparedness for travel (minimum 50% travel required).
