Full-Time Business Intelligence Analyst

Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst gathers, analyzes, and presents data in a meaningful way, making critical business decisions.

Works closely with stakeholders to define business requirements and develop Tableau reports.

Primary Job Duties:

• Analyze business data to identify trends and insights while collaborating with stakeholders to define reporting requirements.
• Develop, maintain, and manage advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards for scalability, manageability, extensibility, performance, and re-use.
• Perform and document data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design.
• Conduct unit tests and develop database queries to analyze effects, troubleshoot issues, and make recommendations to management.
• Work with the Data Warehouse team to create pre-defined data sets for the reporting team.
• Review and improve existing systems and collaborate with teams to integrate new systems, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all BI reports.
• Create training material and conduct training sessions with business users in developing reports using Longbridge's BI tool sets.
• Work through iterative review cycles to deliver results meeting or exceeding user expectations.
• Interpret technical or dashboard structure, translating complex business requirements into technical specifications.
• Advanced Tableau architecture/development skills required.
• High-level competency in Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.).
• Understanding of advanced calculations and statistical functions.
• Solid understanding of SQL, relational database management system, data modeling, and normalization.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
• Proven ability to work with business owners in identifying reporting and dashboard requirements.
• Exemplary oral and written communication skills, translating technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
• Previous experience with MS PowerBI is a plus.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience as a dedicated Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst
• Ability to query and display large data sets while maximizing workbook performance
