Job Details
Certification Scientist executes routine tasks and approvals to support product review and data management.
Works within database software systems.
Supports process updates, maintains data quality, and executes verification initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrates and promotes company vision.
- Supports review and activities and approvals per client rules.
- Identifies and executes tasks and next steps defined by established processes.
- Completes and submits work for review to meet deadlines.
- Executes approvals following approved process and rules.
- Engages with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders, communicates information requests clearly, timely, and concisely.
- Completes data reviews, analysis of progress, and tracks and submits for review/compilation by supervisor/project leader/colleagues.
- Reviews documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Identifies gaps/missing information and communicates to appropriate contact.
- Maintains and updates documentation.
- Contributes to process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborates and communicates with leaders, colleagues, and subject matter experts.
- Collaborates with internal/external resources to find solutions.
- Ensures timely communication of key information among team, project leader, and supervisor.
- Establishes and maintains professional rapport with colleagues.
- Follows SOPs and best practices under supervision.
- Participates in meetings and conference calls.
- Reads and responds to emails/phone calls timely.
- Maintains documentation, organizes computer/hard copy files.
- Keeps updated on relevant news, regulations, literature, and findings.
- Maintains regular attendance and punctuality.
- Seeks out information/facilities to get the job completed.
- Conducts all activities safely and efficiently.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in food science/technology, life science, quality, regulatory affairs, data science, engineering, or related field.
- Additional work experience may be substituted for education.
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database applications
- Ability to execute multiple assignments/tasks
- Ability to build rapport with project stakeholders
- Ability to maintain a mindset focused on continuous improvement
- Knowledge of food and supplement regulations (FDA, CFR, Labeling, Nutrition)
- Database experience a plus
Authorization & Compensation:
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
Position Details:
- Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
