As a Palo Alto Networks National Channel Systems Engineer, you will present the Palo Alto Networks Next Generation security platform and technology solutions to strategic channel partners. You'll act as a technical advisor to build excitement and support for the company with partner sales and technical teams.
Responsibilities include:
- Building technical relationships with channel partners.
- Demonstrating, training, enabling, and engaging technical partner team members.
- Managing and delivering technical content.
- Executing recruitment, enablement, and training objectives.
- Working with CBM and partner leadership to execute a business plan.
- Leveraging regional SEs and sales teams.
- Aligning partner needs and strategy with Palo Alto Networks value.
- Providing product demos.
- Offering technical enablement and training.
- Strategically positioning Palo Alto Networks with other partner technologies.
- Supporting partner business planning activities.
- Facilitating partner Sales Engineers' certification preparation.
- Supervising partner pre-sales activities (competitive analysis, demos, proofs of concept, RFPs).
- Communicating Palo Alto Networks and partner value propositions.
- Developing and reviewing technical readiness plans.
- Providing localized training to partner pre-sales and post-sales resources.
- Supporting product/service training of partner sales teams.
- Educating partners on Palo Alto Networks support model and resources.
- Collaborating with CBM/regional sales teams on business plan development.
- Understanding and communicating business advantages of partnership.
- Understanding channel partner objectives.
Required Experience includes:
- BSCS or equivalent, 6+ years Pre-Sales Systems Engineer or Solution Consultant experience.
- Pre-sales experience with commercial customers and partners.
- Techno-commercial pre-sales experience in Network Security (NGFW, IPS/IDS, WAF, DNS security), Cloud Security (CNAP, CWPP, WAAS), and SecOps (EDR/XDR, SOAR, SIEM).
- Understanding of local/national partner community, technology trends, and competitive landscape.
- Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
- Experience with systems installation, configuration, and administration.
- L2-L4 Networking expertise (L2 switching, IP routing, L4 load balancing).
- Knowledge of security and network product trends.
- Experience selling, demonstrating, installing, and solving network infrastructure security products.
- Experience with routing and switching products.
- German Skills (C1) required.
