Full-Time Network Implementation Engineer II

Brightspeed is seeking a Network Implementation Engineer II to join their team.

As a Network Implementation Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

• Designing and preparing engineering work orders for various projects (land developments, new buildings, etc.).
• Utilizing tools such as NDS, AutoCAD, Fireworks/Bid master, JDS, FORTE, WFMT, ARMOR, TIRKS, LFACS, and Microsoft Office.
• Assigned a geographic area and responsible for all OSP job requests.
• Designing and acquiring civil permits.
• Maintaining positive interactions with internal and external customers and all company departments.
• Developing/defining plans for new plant construction or facility modifications.
• Preparing plans and specifications, including gathering field data.
• Utilizing feasible, practical, and economical methods for completing work.
• Providing cost data for capital planning and budgeting.
• Monitoring and controlling project expenditure.
• Overseeing installation/construction and testing of plant facilities.
• Analyzing network systems and customer environments.
• Planning, designing, evaluating, selecting operating systems, and configuring communication media.
• Resolving interoperability problems across various platforms (email, file transfer, etc.).
• Configuring systems to user environments.
• Supporting acquisition and implementation of hardware, software, and subcontractor services.

Requirements:

• Associate degree or equivalent education and relevant experience.
• 8 years of related experience in telecommunications, engineering, or network planning.
• Knowledgeable and skilled in planning and engineering.
• Proficient in appropriate systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work with Planning, Operations, and all internal and external customers.
• Maintain budget and assist with forecasting.
• Maintain positive interaction with governing authorities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
