Full-Time Client Implementations Data Solutions Architect

Data Solutions Architect works with new customers to set up their data in Subscript and verify everything is correct.

Product Overview: We're building a metrics-first finance and billing platform for B2B SaaS leaders, enabling invoicing, ARR tracking, and accounting revenue management, regardless of contract complexity.

Role Summary:

• First point of contact for new customers after onboarding.
• Data-intensive implementation support, connecting customers to source data.
• Data cleaning and validation in Subscript.
• Analysis to maximize customer value, focusing on ARR, invoices, and accounting revenue.
• Collaboration with clients on CRMs (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce), general ledgers (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero), billing tools (e.g., Stripe, Maxio, Chargebee), and spreadsheets.
• Working closely with the entire team, including co-founders Sidharth Kakkar and Michelle Lee.
• Defining and iterating on best practices for customer and team support.
• Supporting other team members with new challenges.

Methods: Spreadsheets, external APIs, SQL, and occasionally Python.

Team Dynamics:

• Asynchronous team communication via written docs, Slack channels, and video documentation.
• Autonomous team, focusing on transparent goals and collaboration.
• Multiple global off-sites annually.

Remote Work: Remote globally, with US-Pacific working hours and live customer calls.

Interview Process:

• Focus on analytical intuition and clear communication.
• Spreadsheet data work simulation, allowing clarification questions.
• Short live call discussing background, career goals, and questions.
• SQL exercise (PostgreSQL) demonstrating database proficiency.
• Customer communication simulation with a live kick-off call.
• Meeting with a co-founder.

Requirements:

• Deep data analysis skills (analyzing, discussing, advising customers).
• Strong spreadsheet skills.
• Experience with JSON API data retrieval.
• SQL mastery.
• Understanding of B2B SaaS models.
• US-Pacific time zone availability.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
