The Position We're seeking a Cloud Business Data Analyst to support Business Intelligence and Data warehousing initiatives, focused on Financial Services clients.
Responsibilities include data analysis, data profiling, data mapping, developing SQL views, and writing Python code. This role requires proficiency in interpreting complex data sets, technical expertise with data models, databases, and reporting tools (like Tableau or PowerBI).
Key Responsibilities include expert-level analytical and problem-solving skills, SQL and Python proficiency, autonomy on tasks, possibly leading end-to-end processes, experience with large datasets, support to business teams, development of data roadmaps, data integration, understanding data requirements, managing client interactions, source-to-target mapping, data profiling, SQL development (including CTEs, Stored Procedures, and Views), data cleansing, cloud data warehouse implementation, building reference data, acquiring data from various sources, developing Data Dictionaries, and identifying data trends.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise include expert SQL skills, understanding of Azure, familiarity with Collibra, Python proficiency, Financial Services domain expertise (Banks/Credit Unions, specifically Retail Card Services), experience with multiple databases (Snowflake, SQL Server, Databricks, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL), agile methodology, data management project experience, communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively and independently.
Minimum Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Expertise with Collibra, advanced SQL syntax, Azure cloud platform, and demonstrable Python knowledge is required. Domain expertise in Financial Services, specifically dealing with banks and credit unions is preferred.
Preferred Experience includes proactive risk identification and mitigation, ongoing communication with stakeholders, project plan development and monitoring, ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work, and handling confidential information.
