Full-Time Cloud Network Engineer

The Opportunity: We're hiring a Cloud Engineer to join our team. This role provides a unique opportunity to work across major cloud providers, integrating cloud and hardware networking solutions for our expanding infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Architect, design, and operate hybrid networking platforms (cloud & hardware).
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to meet customer and business requirements.
• Enhance network resilience, performance, and security across multiple cloud platforms.
• Develop scalable and high-performance network designs and documentation.
• Propose network technology improvements.
• Analyze traffic patterns to identify capacity needs.
• Review network architecture for risks and improvements, ensuring security across platforms.
• Operate networking solutions with high quality and implement automation tools.
• Define telemetry analytics and quality metrics.
• Troubleshoot complex network incidents.
• Stay updated on industry trends in cloud networking, security, and automation.
• Champion best practices for infrastructure as code and network automation.

Requirements:

• 7+ years hands-on experience managing large-scale networks, including physical and virtualized devices.
• Proven success in earning stakeholder trust.
• Troubleshooting complex BGP routing topologies.
• Experience with provider-independent IP space/BYOIP in public cloud or multiple ISP/NAAS provider context.
• VPCs, firewalls, security groups, virtual routers, load balancers, and private interconnects in multiple cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).
• Complex DNS architectures (self-hosted AD/BIND and managed DNS).
• Troubleshooting using network telemetry (netflow, packet captures) and endpoint data (netstat, nslookup).
• Implementation of next-generation firewalls and Layer 7 inspection.
• Knowledge of mission-critical operational models (ITIL, MOF).
• Network observability platforms (syslog, SNMP, netflow).
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Powershell, Bash).
• Remote management of mission-critical network devices in colocation providers.

Highly Desired Experience:

• Managing network constructs using IaC platforms (Terraform, AWS Cloudformation).
• Identifying and mitigating large-scale attacks.
• IPAM tools (Infoblox, Bluecat, Solarwinds, NetBox).
• Troubleshooting container-based networking/service mesh.
• Managing mobile-user VPN solutions.
• Designing BCDR solutions (regional failover).

Nice to Have Experience:

• Troubleshooting Palo Alto firewalls.
• Managing Cisco routers and switches.
• Building dashboards in Prometheus/Grafana.
