About the Role: MerQube is seeking a skilled Cloud Support Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud technologies, infrastructure as code, and automation, ensuring cloud system reliability and scalability.
Responsibilities:
- Manage cloud infrastructure per best practices.
- Monitor and optimize cloud resources for cost-effectiveness and scalability.
- Implement automation for cloud resource provisioning, scaling, and maintenance.
- Establish and maintain service-level objectives and indicators (SLOs/SLIs).
- Monitor system performance, diagnose issues, and implement solutions.
- Conduct post-incident reviews and implement remediation plans.
- Participate in on-call rotation to respond to incidents.
- Resolve production incidents and minimize customer impact.
- Provide technical customer support, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
- Secure and comply with cloud resource security best practices.
- Maintain infrastructure as code (IAC) scripts and templates.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure changes.
- Document system architecture, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Share knowledge and mentor junior team members.
Qualifications:
- Master's or bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 5+ years of experience in Cloud Support, FinTech Support, Site Reliability, or similar roles.
- 3+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong understanding of SRE/Support principles and best practices.
- Strong cloud platform expertise (preferably AWS), with familiarity with Azure or GCP.
- Proficiency in deploying and managing containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure concepts and tools (Terraform, Ansible).
- Advanced proficiency in Python.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills: Bash, Python scripting, Airflow, Grafana, Prometheus/Grafana, Datadog, SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
