About the Role: MerQube is seeking a skilled Cloud Support Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud technologies, infrastructure as code, and automation, ensuring cloud system reliability and scalability.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage cloud infrastructure per best practices.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud resources for cost-effectiveness and scalability.
  • Implement automation for cloud resource provisioning, scaling, and maintenance.
  • Establish and maintain service-level objectives and indicators (SLOs/SLIs).
  • Monitor system performance, diagnose issues, and implement solutions.
  • Conduct post-incident reviews and implement remediation plans.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to respond to incidents.
  • Resolve production incidents and minimize customer impact.
  • Provide technical customer support, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
  • Secure and comply with cloud resource security best practices.
  • Maintain infrastructure as code (IAC) scripts and templates.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure changes.
  • Document system architecture, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Share knowledge and mentor junior team members.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Cloud Support, FinTech Support, Site Reliability, or similar roles.
  • 3+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Strong understanding of SRE/Support principles and best practices.
  • Strong cloud platform expertise (preferably AWS), with familiarity with Azure or GCP.
  • Proficiency in deploying and managing containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure concepts and tools (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Advanced proficiency in Python.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills: Bash, Python scripting, Airflow, Grafana, Prometheus/Grafana, Datadog, SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
