The Social Media team at Coinbase is seeking a creative, community-obsessed Social Media Community Manager to lead engagement and conversation across our key platforms.

In this role, you’ll be the voice of Coinbase to millions, fostering connection, trust, and excitement within our global crypto community.

You’ll develop and execute strategies to grow, engage, and support our audience while championing the values of crypto, Web3, and financial freedom.

Ideal candidates can balance the need to move fast while thinking strategically, lead community engagement efforts in dynamic environments, excel at managing multiple initiatives, and have a proven track record of building culturally-relevant communities that spark conversation, earn media attention, and deepen user engagement across social platforms.

The right individual will bring a balanced combination of ambition, judgment, creativity, flexibility and critical thinking - all with the passion and enthusiasm for building the Coinbase social brand and advancing crypto’s goal of updating the financial system.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage and grow Coinbase’s presence across X, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and emerging platforms.
  • Create and execute community engagement strategies that reflect Coinbase’s brand voice and values.
  • Monitor conversations and trends in the crypto and Web3 space to identify engagement opportunities and shape content.
  • Work closely with marketing, comms and other teams to coordinate social media efforts with broader campaigns and ensure consistency.
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar: create and publish posts, obtain approvals, schedule, and monitor performance of social media posts.
  • Track and report on engagement metrics, sentiment, and community health, delivering insights to leadership on a regular basis.

What we look for in you:

  • 4+ years proven experience as a Social Media Community Manager or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful campaigns.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Sprinkly, Brandw) and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights).
  • Comfortable writing short-form content for a crypto audience
  • Powerful storyteller: written, verbal, and visual
  • Demonstrated track record of creating social campaigns to steer new audience acquisition and deepen engagement
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with rapidly evolving priorities
  • Self-starter and ability to be ready to roll-up your sleeves and get things done
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams

Nice to haves:

  • Experience working on crypto products and strong knowledge of crypto
  • Experience writing for executives and spokespeople
