Full-Time Consulting Director, DFIR, Reactive Services

Consulting Director, Reactive Services is a senior-level consulting position focused on cybersecurity and data breach response for Unit 42 clients.

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing expert guidance on all areas of cybersecurity and data breach response.
• Acting as client advocate for cybersecurity issues.
• Delivering strategic and technical leadership in cybersecurity.
• Leading technical breach response teams in fast-paced environments.
• Maintaining hyper-current knowledge of vulnerabilities and the threat landscape.
• Utilizing forensics tools (EnCase, FTK, SleuthKit, Volatility, etc.).
• Analyzing and understanding major operating systems (Windows, Linux, Mac).
• Identifying and triaging malware.
• Managing clients, leading meetings, and managing multiple project teams.
• Developing unique solutions to customer issues.
• Managing complex budgets and allocating staff to projects.
• Developing and maintaining client rapport.
• Cross-selling/upselling existing clients and generating new business.
• Traveling up to 20% for leadership, customer briefings, planning, etc.

Requirements Include:

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in digital forensics and incident response.
• Industry-recognized leadership experience with media and public speaking.
• Strong understanding of forensic processes and procedures (chain of custody, computer acquisition).
• Experience with forensic tools and incident response methodologies.
• Strong strategic mindset, attention to detail, and hands-on ability to lead discussions.
• Demonstrated self-starter, intellectual curiosity, and adaptability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work quickly, independently or lead teams as needed.
• Ability to learn new technologies to solve complex customer issues.
• Knowledge of common malware persistence mechanisms.

Compensation: $183,000 - $252,000/YR (base salary + potential bonus and RSUs).
