Your CareerThe Consulting Director will lead Proactive Consulting Services across a growing portfolio of strategic service offerings including SOC Assessments, Cloud Security, AI/ML Security Assessments, and other emerging service domains. This senior-level consultant will serve as a trusted advisor to customers strengthening cybersecurity resilience and advancing security maturity.
Your Impact
- Contribute to the development, maturation, and innovation of SOC, AI Security, and Cloud Security consulting services.
- Lead and deliver technical and strategic cybersecurity assessments (e.g., SOC maturity, cloud security, AI/ML risks, application/infrastructure security).
- Translate technical findings into actionable business risk implications and strategic recommendations.
- Conduct reviews and assessments based on frameworks like NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK, ISO 27001, etc.
- Provide deep subject matter expertise and delivery leadership across various environments (cloud-native, hybrid, on-premises).
- Provide strategic guidance on security programs, operations models, threat detection, and incident readiness.
- Integrate Palo Alto Networks product platform (e.g., Cortex XSIAM, Prisma SASE, Precision AI) into consulting engagements.
- Engage with client prospects, identifying cybersecurity pain points in SOC operations, cloud infrastructure, and AI system implementations.
- Identify alignment between Unit 42 solutions and customer challenges, clearly articulating solution value and outcomes.
- Support engagement teams in addressing technical objections.
- Tie recommendations to clients' unique business processes, strategic initiatives, and risk mitigation objectives.
- Build and strengthen long-term client relationships.
- Lead design, development, and delivery of consulting enablement content for the Unit 42 team.
- Partner with Palo Alto Networks product development teams to improve product features and delivery impact.
Your Experience
- 4+ years delivering cybersecurity advisory or risk assessments based on industry standards.
- 6+ years professional services/consulting experience; 3+ years in a Director (or equivalent) role leading delivery teams (preferred).
- Experience in SOC Maturity Assessments, Cloud Security Reviews, AI/ML Model Security Assessments, Application Security Reviews, and Threat Modeling.
- Advising CISOs on strategic planning, resource prioritization, capability development, and cybersecurity roadmaps.
- Translating high-level strategic client discussions into detailed proposals and project outcomes.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR/XDR, CNAPP, CSPM, IAM, IaC, and cloud-native platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of emerging threats and attacker TTPs.
- Managing diverse teams of business and technical consultants.
- Scoping consulting opportunities, drafting statements of work, proposals, and resource estimates.
- Scripting, automation, or command-line tools experience (a plus).
- Public speaking, training, and enablement experience (preferred).
- 10+ years building and expanding long-term client relationships.
- Ability to travel (25% on average).
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Digital Forensics, Cybersecurity, or equivalent required.
