Full-Time Coordinator, Social Media

The Social Media Community Coordinator is focused on the growth, engagement and management of Best Friends’ online Spanish community.

• Day-to-day community building and cultivation across social channels
• Content development and posting (including responding to comments)
• Collaboration to meet organizational business goals
• Works with the social media team to ensure alignment of national messaging and promotions
• Attends events to increase engagement on social channels
• Treats people with kindness and compassion
• Maintains Spanish social media editorial calendar
• Works collaboratively with digital, creative, marketing and corporate partners teams
• Navigates responses and interactions with difficult/challenging supporters
• Stays abreast of current trends with social media
• Utilizes social media insights and engagement platform to track content performance and campaign metrics
• Communicates using the Best Friends voice
• Works with Creative as needed on YouTube content and translations relating to those projects
• May require other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bilingual speaker and writer, fluent in English and Spanish
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Professional experience in social media marketing and fundraising
• Knowledge of Facebook, X/Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, and Twitch
• Gifted content creator with strong experience in creating all kinds of content for social media
• Strong understanding of social media KPIs
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to solve problems creatively and collaboratively
• Self-starter with ability to operate at a hands-on detailed level
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to anticipate needs, innovate, multi-task and excel in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
• Ability to quickly adapt to new channels, technologies and trends
• Ability to speak on, and professionally advocate for, Best Friends’ position on issues
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Customer-centric, non-judgmental approach to engaging with the public
• Resourceful, get-it-done attitude
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
