Corporate Counsel - Emerging Tech Governance is a key legal partner to various cross-functional teams, including those building top-tier cybersecurity products.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Associate General Counsel, you'll handle critical emerging regulatory issues with key stakeholders.
Motivated by unique challenges, you'll be the legal partner to our Engineering, Product Management, Information Security, and Sales teams.
Experienced in translating complex legal issues into efficient solutions.
Partner with cross-functional teams to drive results-focused solutions, enabling the business.
Experienced advising and actioning on data and AI/ML projects, and staying current with evolving regulatory landscape related to data and cybersecurity.
Your Impact
- Implement a scalable process for conducting AI/ML impact assessments and other security assessments.
- Develop and update whitepapers mapping regulations to product capabilities, enabling compliance with customer preferences and regulatory obligations.
- Partner with legal colleagues and product leaders to develop and update Privacy Datasheets.
- Partner with Information Security to advance our privacy by design program.
- Work closely with functional teams to ensure compliance with data regulations and industry best practices.
- Develop and update playbooks to enable legal colleagues and product leaders.
- Handle special projects as requested.
Your Experience
- Education: J.D. degree from ABA accredited or reputable international law school, or equivalent military experience.
- Bar Membership: Member in good standing of an applicable bar.
- Experience: 5+ years working on emerging technology issues (law firm or SaaS/cybersecurity company).
- Global Data Regulations: Expertise in global data regulations (NIS2 Directive, EU AI Act, EU Data Act, etc.).
- Risk-Based Advice: Review products, features, and initiatives to provide sound risk-based advice in light of the evolving regulatory landscape.

Compensation
Starting base salary (non-sales) or base salary + commission target (sales) between $185,000 - $267,500/YR, potentially with restricted stock units and a bonus.
