Contractor Customer Service Representative

Customer Service Representative provides front-line, direct contact with customers for filing claims over the phone. They also inform customers about the organization's products and/or services.

Job Details

• Files claims by collecting customer information.
• Answers routine questions and resolves basic problems; refers more complex issues to higher-level team members.
• Follows standard screens/scripts, uses computer-based systems, maintains and updates records.
• Processes and determines coverage by reviewing forms and records.
• Maintains professionalism and effectively interacts with internal and external contacts.
• Maintains department quality standards and follows supervisor's instructions.

Required Skills

• High School Diploma or GED
• 6+ months of call center experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service, conflict resolution, and data entry skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Ability to handle high call volumes with scheduled breaks
• Minimum typing speed of 35 WPM
