About this roleOmniscient Digital is growing and prioritizes content quality. We're seeking a skilled writer with cybersecurity expertise (attack surface management, third-party risk, etc.)
Responsibilities:
- Create blog content on attack surface management, security compliance, and risk frameworks for information security and risk leaders.
- Focus on third-party risk management, vendor security assessments, and regulatory changes for CISOs, CIOs, and security executives.
- Provide insights on risk assessment, vendor evaluations, threat intelligence, and attack surface reduction for cybersecurity analysts and TPRM analysts.
- Translate complex cybersecurity concepts into accessible content (e.g., NIST frameworks, SOC 2, attack surface reduction).
- Stay current on cybersecurity threats, data breaches, and regulatory updates.
- Use company brand voice and messaging.
- Ensure content accuracy, readability, and compliance.
- Interview subject matter experts.
- Manage projects on time and within budget.
- Suggest content optimizations and strategies based on trends.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years writing about cybersecurity, risk management, and compliance.
- Understanding of attack surface management, data privacy, third-party risk, and DevSecOps.
- Strong knowledge of data breaches, privacy regulations, and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, CCPA).
- Ability to explain complex cybersecurity topics to security professionals.
- Experience conducting SME interviews.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Passion for cybersecurity, risk management, and security storytelling.
- Experience writing for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- SEO experience.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Experience with print and digital media, word processors (Microsoft Word, Google Docs), and PDF software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on cybersecurity, risk management, or compliance experience.

- Experience with competitive research and cybersecurity industry trend analysis.
- Familiarity with third-party risk assessment processes.
Portfolio
A recent portfolio with cybersecurity writing samples (3-5 articles) is required. At least 2 should be related to cybersecurity, risk management, or compliance.
