About Ignite Reading: Today, 67% of students and 82% of low-income students can’t read at grade level by the end of third grade. Ignite Reading delivers one-to-one virtual tutoring, teaching foundational reading skills to every student.
The Role: The Data Analyst reports to the Director of Operations, responsible for compiling, cleaning, analyzing, and creating reports from program data.
- Data Management: Manage program data collection, including student achievement data and survey data. Perform quality assurance for accuracy.
- Reporting: Create report templates for internal and external stakeholders. Develop and execute processes for timely report production. Conduct statistical, exploratory, and descriptive analyses to improve program management and effectiveness.
- Data Improvement: Use knowledge of strategic initiatives to improve data collection and analysis processes, identifying opportunities to use data to improve results.
- KPIs and Support: Support data compilation/reporting/insights/recommendations connected to Ignite! Reading’s KPIs in collaboration with the Director of Operations and leadership. Support platform configuration, licensing, maintenance, integration, and reporting efforts to ensure third-party systems meet Ignite! Reading data needs.
- Projects: Support ad hoc projects at the direction of the Director of Operations.
Core Competencies & Qualifications:
- Strong quantitative skills (prior experience or coursework).
- Experience using Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis.
- Hyper-organized, attentive to detail, process-oriented.
- Self-starter, independent worker.
- Excellent communication (interpersonal, presentation, written, oral) skills, able to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Comfortable in a high-growth startup environment.
- Passionate about the mission to teach kids to read.
- Preferred Experience: Computer programming languages (SQL, Python, R), data visualization platforms (Tableau), student data experience, knowledge of handling Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
Compensation: $97,000
