At Leadtech, we're seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst – Payments Specialist to drive data-led insights and support our payments strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and document anomalies in payments data and fraud patterns.
- Use Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, IF conditions) to analyze payment transactions.
- Ensure data accuracy across payment systems.
- Identify trends in payment failures, chargebacks, and fraud attempts.
- Implement consumer data acquisition strategies and e-commerce analytics.
- Build consumer segmentation and profiling models.
- Respond to data analysis requests from fraud, compliance, finance, and operations teams.
- Retrieve, clean, and prepare transactional data.
- Contribute to daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reporting on payments KPIs.
- Perform in-depth analysis on large volumes of payments and fraud-related data.
- Define and enforce data quality standards.
- Maintain expertise in analytics tools and practices.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, risk, and business intelligence teams.
- Create and optimize metrics and dashboards.
- Communicate key insights on payment performance and fraud trends.
- Research discrepancies in payment data.
- Monitor real-time analytics dashboards.
- Review and act on data control alerts.
- Continuously analyze payment flows to detect fraud attempts.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst in payments, fraud, or transactional data.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with large datasets and relational databases.
- Proficient in BI/reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and Excel.
- Solid understanding of digital payment systems, chargebacks, fraud indicators, and PSPs.
- Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data quality best practices.
- Familiarity with Python, R, or statistical tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate findings clearly.
- Proactive, well-organized, and adaptable.
- Fluent in English.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
