About this position

Join the Data Governance and Technology development team within the Non-Financial Risk Technology group. As the onsite lead and a Data Engineer, you will develop and manage data workflows, pipelines, and stored procedures, working closely with business users, data scientists, and analytics teams to implement data solutions.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain databases and data stores, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
• Write complex SQL queries to analyze data and create views for reporting purposes.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Implement data security and access controls, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Automate database tasks using Python/Shell scripting for ETL processes and maintenance.
• Monitor and optimize database performance, resolving bottlenecks and tuning performance.
• Stay current with advancements in RDBMS, Postgres DB, and other data engineering tools.

Job Skills/Requirements

• Experience: 10+ years in data development, 7+ years of SQL experience, 5+ years of Python experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Proficient in database design, capacity planning, and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across IT and business groups.
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.

Pay/Salary Range

Pay Range: $70 - $75/hr
