Full-Time Data Engineer (Informatica)

As an Informatica Specialist / Data Integrator, you will be responsible for maintaining existing Informatica jobs, reviewing for possible improvements to legacy Informatica workflows, and building new ETL processes to push/pull data from primarily SQL sources to target for the Enterprise Applications domain.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update existing Informatica workflows
• Review current Informatica workflows and recommend/complete enhancements to enable them to run efficiently and effectively
• Create Extract/Translate/Load processes to push data from sources to target
• Ensure data integrity, security, and privacy of financial data
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data requirements and ensure that the architecture meets those requirements
• Implement data governance policies and procedures
• Stay current on new technologies and trends in data management and evaluating potential solutions
• Communicate effectively with both the business and technical teams

Required Skills/Experience

• Experience building and maintaining Informatica workflows
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with a variety of stakeholders
• Strong technical background, including experience with database management systems, data modeling, and data warehousing, especially SQL Server
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as Data Integrator
• Experience designing ETL data solutions
• Experience working with external data feeds to enrich internal data

Desired Skills/Experience

• Experience building real-time analytics solutions
• Experience in an insurance or financial organization
• Experience with Data warehouse modeling
• Experience working with Snowflake or similar
• Experience working in SOX and SOC-2 compliant environment
• Experience monitoring and supporting production database and server environment
• Strong understanding of technologies utilized in the industry and the ability to see their impact as well as enhancement management and product lifecycle development
• Relevant experience working with 3rd party vendors to deliver results
• Proven experience and strong understanding of agile development and conventional method and its application to company technology needs
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills and experience
• PowerBI report development and maintenance
• Ability to balance between most ideal and most pragmatic solutions that meet business needs
• Cloud and Product Based Certifications will be a plus.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or related field preferred
