Shift Assignment: Night Shift

As a Senior Business Analyst / Data Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering key analytical insights, building dashboards and automating reports to serve all layers of the Claims organization.

This high visibility role has direct exposure to senior leaders across Arch Insurance.

Your efforts will have a high impact on delivering performance metrics to the Claim organization to facilitate achieving our growth and profitability targets.

This role reports to the Manager of Claims Analytics and is an individual contributor position.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements for building Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Work with various data sources to provide insights into business performance.
• Collaborate with IT, Strategic Analytics and other inter-departments to deliver innovative solutions.
• Compile information into presentations for senior leaders.
• Identify and analyze KPIs across various PBI’s.
• Adherence to best practices, naming conventions and version control.
• Support Data Governance initiatives and assist in the build of Claims Data & Analytics data library.
• SNOWFLAKE: Proficient with snowflake database environments and queries.
• SQL: Proficient with MSSQL database environments and queries.
• PBI: Proficient in Power BI development (including workflows), implementation, QA, and troubleshooting.
• Has advanced knowledge in creating KPI analytics to support business needs.
• Strong ability troubleshoot and problem solve, with ability to present & document findings.
• Excellent communication skills in addressing business and technical matters with members of senior management and the technical teams.
• EXCEL: Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel spreadsheet knowledge, formulas, pivot tables, queries, macros, etc.
• Adept at identifying opportunities and strategies to improve existing process efficiency (proactive and reactive).
• Exceptional analytical skills to understand key drivers of the business as well as forecast how various levers can impact business trends and results.
• Strong collaboration and partnering skills to work directly with management to identify scope of projects and timelines.

Background in P&C insurance is preferred but not required.

Experience delivering results as an individual contributor as well as in a team setting.
