Position Summary:
We are seeking a Governance Analyst with a strong focus on compliance to support our initiatives in the financial services and insurance sectors. The ideal candidate will have experience with key governance and compliance frameworks such as PCI, SOX 2 audit, ISO, NIST, and a working knowledge of regulations like CCPA, HIPAA, and NY DFS. This role will collaborate closely with business and legal teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and mitigate risk in our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze regulations and compliance requirements related to governance at state and federal levels, with a focus on cybersecurity, data protection, and AI.
- Develop and implement governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with standards such as PCI, SOX 2 audit, ISO, NIST, and relevant data protection laws (CCPA, HIPAA, NY DFS).
- Support business units in creating and maintaining incident response plans (IRP), business continuity plans (BCP), and data governance strategies.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to educate and guide on best practices for governance and regulatory compliance.
- Assist in assessing and mitigating risks in AI applications, with a focus on ensuring compliance and preventing biases in AI technologies.
- Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to ensure data protection policies are adhered to, and sensitive information is properly governed.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Experience with frameworks such as PCI, and SOX 2 audit
- Experience with ISO, and NIST.
- Familiarity with CCPA, HIPAA, and NY DFS is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of regulatory environments related to cybersecurity and governance.
- Basic knowledge of AI governance, with an interest in emerging technologies and how they align with compliance standards.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- A background in data governance, privacy, or related fields is highly valued.
- Proven experience in governance and compliance, preferably within the financial services and insurance sectors.
