The Data Management Analyst will play a key role in supporting the requirements gathering, delivery, testing and training of the master data management initiative to embed master data management and reference data management at Endeavour. They will also play a role in facilitating the other Pillars' connection to our EGL Data Governance team to ensure compliance with our enterprise policies and processes.
This is a hands-on role that will work closely with external SIs who will support the delivery of the technology required to implement MDM and RDM.
The Analyst will have a proven track record of successfully translating between technical and business requirements, understanding the impacts of solutions on business needs, processes, and costs, and the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders at various levels within the business. They will be experienced in implementing and managing Master Data Management (MDM) and Reference Data Management (RDM) practices, ensuring data consistency, quality, and governance across the EGL. The role is a critical conduit in supporting the team throughout the project lifecycle, particularly in integrating MDM and RDM solutions that meet business and technical requirements.

Here is a taste of what you can expect in this role:
- Taking the direction from the Data - Data Management/Governance Lead Stream Lead, the Analyst will collaborate with the SME’s as well as other Business Analysts and/or Technical and Business and Functional Leads to identify and agree on the business and technical requirements.
- Assists in documenting, reviewing, and supporting approvals of the project scope/requirements .
- Participates in workshops and ensures the inclusion of relevant team members from the business to validate the design being implemented.
- Works with the Pillar, Technical and Business Teams to ensure all possible due diligence is carried out to provide confidence of the implementation prior to the go live.
- There may be a need to travel to stores and/or interstate offices to gather requirements.
- Supports testing, where required, assisting to create test scripts, perform testing, and provide potential solutions to resolve errors. Supports system unit and integration testing as required including checking test results and identifying re-work and revalidation after subsequent corrections.
- Works together with Data Governance Analysts, Integration and Data Engineers, System Owners and/or Business Data Owners to ensure that data sources within the solution are validated, leading to the successful delivery of MDM & RDM platform and processes
Now let’s talk about you:
- 3-5+ years of experience in an insights driven business and/or data analyst role.
- Advanced proficiency in various data and insight based software, including but not limited to Excel, Google Sheets, database querying and Tableau
- Advanced SQL skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organisation.
- Strong change management and leadership skills to effectively support the implementation’s change initiatives through the change team.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, facilitate, and negotiate effectively.
- Ability to motivate others, track progress, and collaborate effectively with peers.
