We are seeking a highly skilled Data Management Consultant to provide expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing data management strategies for organizations.
The ideal candidate will collaborate with clients to ensure data integrity, accessibility, and compliance while supporting data-driven decision-making processes.
Please note: This is a client-facing position, and previous client-facing experience is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Strategy Development: Analyze client’s current data management practices, identify gaps or inefficiencies, develop and implement robust data management strategies aligned with organizational goals, advise on the adoption of modern tools, platforms, and frameworks for effective data management.
- Data Architecture and Governance: Design scalable and secure data architectures tailored to client requirements, establish data governance policies to ensure consistency, quality, and regulatory compliance, recommend best practices for metadata management, data lineage, and data stewardship.
- Data Integration and Optimization: Facilitate seamless integration of data from multiple sources, ensure interoperability, optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing to enhance performance and scalability, implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for efficient data pipelines.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure client data management practices comply with regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA, identify and mitigate risks related to data security and privacy breaches, conduct regular audits and assessments to uphold data governance standards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration and Training: Partner with cross-functional teams to align data initiatives with business objectives, provide training sessions for stakeholders on data management tools and practices, act as a liaison between technical teams and business leaders to facilitate clear communication.
- Reporting and Analytics Support: Enable the creation of actionable insights by ensuring high-quality and accessible data, support analytics and BI teams by providing well-organized and clean data structures, recommend strategies for leveraging data to improve operational efficiency and decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in data management, consulting, or related roles
- Proven track record in designing and implementing data management strategies
- Experience with modern data platforms, cloud environments, and data integration tools
- Expertise in SQL and database management systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Proficiency in ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Alteryx) and data modeling techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to a dynamic consulting environment
Compensation: $76,500 - $90,000 (market-competitive salary)
