Full-Time Data Platform Admin and Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Data Platform Admin and Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru, India.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our data platform infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, scalability, and performance.

You will work with cutting-edge technologies such as Python, PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, and Ubuntu to support our data-driven initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain robust data platform solutions using Python, PostgreSQL, and TimescaleDB
• Administer and optimize Ubuntu-based systems to ensure optimal performance of our data infrastructure
• Develop and maintain ETL processes to integrate data from various sources into our data platform
• Implement data security measures and ensure compliance with data protection regulations
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to data platform performance and functionality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide technical solutions
• Continuously monitor and optimize database performance, implementing improvements as needed
• Develop and maintain documentation for data platform processes and procedures
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and platform administration

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in data platform administration and engineering
• Strong proficiency in Python programming and PostgreSQL database management
• Hands-on experience with TimescaleDB and Ubuntu Linux administration
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and database design
• Experience with ETL processes and big data technologies
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
• Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Relevant certifications (e.g., PostgreSQL, Linux) are advantageous
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
