Full-Time Data Quality Engineer

We are seeking a Data Quality Engineer to join our Data Engineering team.

Role Responsibilities:

• Champion data quality and quality engineering across the data ecosystem.
• Design, develop, and scale automated data quality frameworks.
• Improve data reliability, testing coverage, and observability.
• Shift quality left by embedding quality-focused thinking in the development lifecycle.
• Foster a culture of shared quality ownership.
• Validate data transformations and pipelines.
• Develop tests to catch anomalies.
• Monitor and refine data taxonomy structures.
• Identify issues early and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Proactively improve data systems and processes.
• Potential for 0%-15% travel (UK and USA).

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Quality Engineering.
• Deep understanding of data flows, patterns, and error sources.
• Experience with large-scale data warehouses/lakes, integration, migration, and verification.
• Proficiency in big data technologies (Snowflake, Databricks, Vertica, Spark, Airflow).
• Understanding of cloud technologies (especially AWS).
• Ability to design automated data quality monitoring, testing, and alerting frameworks.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
