Full-Time Data Validation Chemist

AECOM is seeking a Chemist/Data Validator for our Chelmsford, MA office, with remote work options available. The selected candidate will apply their expertise in Environmental Analytical Chemistry.

Responsibilities Include:

• Validating analytical chemistry data and producing validation reports.
• Assisting project teams in analytical methodology selection, laboratory proposal evaluation, and QA/QC parameter establishment.
• Ensuring data meets technical requirements and project quality objectives.
• Liaising with laboratories and field teams.
• Validating analytical data according to guidelines (NFG, DoD, Regional EPA).
• Assisting with Quality Assurance Project Plans preparation and Data Usability Assessments.
• Adhering to budget and schedule with minimal supervision.
• Coordinating with Project/Senior Chemists.

Qualifications:

• Minimum: BA/BS in Chemistry or related field + 2 years experience or equivalent.
• Preferred: Master's degree in Chemistry, 3+ years environmental lab experience, experience with PFAS or dioxin/furan validation.

Additional Requirements:

• Strong interpersonal and technical writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and deliver on time and on budget.
• Experience with analytical equipment (e.g., ICP, GC/MS).
• Familiarity with relevant guidelines and software (DoD, EPA).
