Full-Time DeFi Analyst

Gauntlet is hiring a DeFi Analyst to expand market insights and research to new audiences.

About the Role: This role blends on-chain data analysis, market research, and content creation. Ideal for a DeFi enthusiast with strong analytical skills. The role is responsible for:

1. Analyzing and reporting on market events with a quantitative lens.
2. Conducting on-chain and off-chain data analysis.
3. Creating research (short and long-form) on products, competitors, and market conditions for internal and external use.
4. Contributing to marketing channels and communications (e.g., market commentary, media inquiries).
5. Managing the DeFi analyst partner program, curating, and incentivizing researchers.
6. Developing quantitative visualizations to tell stories about Gauntlet's offerings.
7. Expanding the Gauntlet brand through data-driven storytelling and reports to the Head of Marketing.

Responsibilities: Analyze and report on market events, produce research, own KPIs (earned media, engagement), manage the DeFi analyst partner program, field media inquiries, create visualizations.

Qualifications: 3-5 years of relevant experience in DeFi, strong knowledge of tokenomics, smart contracts and analytical tools.

• Fluent in data/analytics tools (Hex, Dune, Flipside, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of common DeFi metrics (TVL, FDV, liquidity).
• Experience working in crypto, at a protocol, exchange, or within a community.
• Demonstrated writing, data analysis, and market commentary skills.
• Deep knowledge of operational security best practices.
• Concise and compelling storyteller.
