Full-Time Digital Identity Specialist (remote)

We are looking for an experienced Digital Identity Specialist to support the implementation of the European Digital Identity Framework, focusing on eIDAS regulation compliance, electronic payment systems, and secure environments.

The role requires a deep understanding of digital identity, trust services, and secure data exchange to ensure the successful development and deployment of digital identity solutions across regulated sectors.

Key Responsibilities

1. Analysis and Advisory: Provide expert advice on implementing the European Digital Identity Framework and eIDAS Regulation compliance. Analyze and define high-level technical requirements for digital identity wallets and trust services. Develop and analyze privacy-preserving technologies for integration into digital wallets.
2. Technical Development and Coordination: Define and maintain technical specifications for digital identity wallets and trust services. Support the development of reusable tools and frameworks for wallet implementation. Coordinate with stakeholders to gather input on technical aspects and ensure alignment with requirements. Oversee project strands, including certification, architecture framework definition, and pilot projects.
3. Security and Risk Management: Apply techniques for securing web and mobile applications (e.g., HTTP, TLS, WS-Security, OAuth2, OpenID, OWASP). Ensure secure data exchange and compliance with regulated standards across digital ecosystems.
4. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, technical, and pilot project teams. Translate technical requirements into business strategies to enhance compliance, security, and efficiency. Organize and participate in multilingual meetings and provide regular reporting.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in digital signature and encryption using X509 certificates and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). Strong understanding of the eIDAS Regulation and European Digital Identity Framework. Expertise in Business-to-Business (B2B) and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes. Knowledge of securing web applications using HTTP, TLS, WS-Security, OAuth2, and OpenID. Experience with mobile development technologies (Android/Java & Kotlin, iOS/Swift) and Key Attestation.
• Project Management: Familiarity with Agile methodologies (e.g., SCRUM, OpenPM2, Extreme Programming). Experience in coordinating large-scale projects in multicultural environments.
• Documentation and Communication: Ability to write clear, structured documents and functional specifications. Strong communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Specific Expertise: Proven experience in implementing eIDAS-compliant digital identity solutions. Excellent knowledge of electronic payment systems. Proven experience working in regulated environments, such as finance, e-commerce, or the public sector.
