About the RoleWe are seeking a Director of Data Integrations to lead data integration efforts, ensuring high-quality data pipelines and shaping our integration strategy. This role will collaborate with various departments, understand data needs, and maintain reliable data flows. The director will lead and mentor a data engineering team, integrating new data sources and driving impactful solutions. The role also requires hands-on contributions to the data engineering codebase. This is a fully remote position.
Responsibilities
- Oversee design, deployment, and maintenance of data pipelines.
- Lead data quality standards, governance, and monitoring practices.
- Liaise with Product, Marketing, Analytics, and Operations for data needs.
- Gather requirements, prioritize requests, and provide status updates.
- Develop a strategic roadmap for data integrations aligning with business goals.
- Assess current capabilities, identify improvement areas, and ensure integration strategy scales with growth.
- Manage, mentor, and grow a data engineering team.
- Contribute to the data engineering codebase on high-impact projects.
- Collaborate to solve complex technical challenges and ensure best practices.
- Identify and integrate new data sources for business value.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
- 8+ years in data engineering or data integration, 3-5 years in leadership.
- Proficiency with modern data integration tools, ETL/ELT frameworks, and cloud platforms (AWS, Redshift, Matillion).
- Experience with diverse data sources (EHRs, CRMs).
- Experience with data visualization tools (Sigma, Looker).
- Understanding of data pipeline architectures, data modeling, and ETL best practices.
- Proficient in SQL, Python, and familiar with R.
- Experience with data quality management and monitoring tools.
- Data governance principles and tools.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
