The Role: We seek an experienced and detail-oriented Director of Data Management & Analytics to lead company-wide data strategy, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and governance, and delivering insights for business decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain Data Standards and Governance for Item Master and Customer Master Data
- Facilitate cross-functional execution of new/change management procedures for data quality and consistency across all systems and reporting
- Integrate data from Shopify, Amazon, NetSuite, 3PL WMS, and other systems for a unified view of master data and reporting
- Identify, analyze, and resolve data quality issues (duplication, inconsistencies, inaccuracies)
- Manage and mentor internal Analytics Manager, efficiently splitting data requests
- Partner with Sales Channel Leads, Product Marketing, Operations, & Finance to define data ownership and streamline data flows
- Build flexible dashboards in Looker for self-serve reporting (Acquisition, Retention, DTC, Amazon, CX, Finance, Operations)
- Develop demand planning models for existing/upcoming products across all sales channels (DTC, Amazon, Retail)
- Conduct deep dive analyses to inform key business decisions
- Evaluate tools and tech to strengthen data infrastructure and reduce reporting friction
- Drive data literacy and self-service reporting through documentation and enablement
Qualifications:
- 7+ years in data management/governance and analytics in e-commerce and CPG
- Direct ecommerce experience; proficiency in Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, and NetSuite (preferred)
- BI tool experience required (Looker preferred, Tableau, Power BI, Hex familiarity a plus)
- Expert SQL proficiency
- R and/or Python familiarity (a plus)
- Data infrastructure/engineering experience (a plus)
- Strong understanding of master data concepts and governance frameworks
- Understanding of key business/financial metrics (Margins, CoGS, LTV, CAC, Cohort Reporting, Retail Velocities)
- Strong problem-solving for data cleanup, deduplication, and system reconciliation
- Experience partnering across Marketing, Operations, and Finance
- Comfort in a high-growth, resource-constrained startup environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or certifications a plus

Salary Range: $180,000 - $225,000 per year
