Loopio is looking for a Director of Product Design and Research for a 14-month contract role supporting our Product Design and Research team, practice, and ongoing Experience Strategy. This role would report to the VP, Product Management and collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders across Engineering, Machine Learning + Data Science and Product Marketing, as well as CPO, CTO, and other Senior Leaders across the organization.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Drive the execution and delivery of a domain defining user experience in the Response Management space, leveraging AI and machine learning to drive key outcomes for our customers
- Refine, shape and implement our Experience Strategy, defining and maintaining a high bar of experience quality
- Collaborate closely with the Product Management, Engineering, Data Science & AI, Product Marketing, Customer Experience and Sales teams to launch a top-tier experience for our customers
- Be a strong voice of the customer – advocate for our users and champion Loopio’s customer-centric approach
- Mentor and support Loopio’s Product Design and Research team
- Build, refine and drive our Product Design and Research process and rituals
- Be the voice of Product Design and Research – make sure the entire company knows what Product Design is about
- Lead our existing team to build a valuable, intuitive, and beautiful product
- Prioritize team retention and support with hiring and performance support
- Experience in managing a distributed team is a plus!
What You Bring to the Team:
- 7+ years of Product Design and Research experience
- 5+ years of experience in a Product Design leadership role
- Strong leadership and management principles/values
- Experience leading Product Design in a B2B SaaS company
- Bonus: Experience shipping B2C products at scale
- Experience working in a scrum/agile environment
- Ability to balance design idealism vs pragmatism
- A scientific mindset when it comes to validating designs
- Background in both generative and evaluative design research practices
