Lead our newly-formed Product Security Engineering team, integrating security into development processes. This role involves:
- Leadership: Embed security as a cultural norm.
- Team Management: Inspire and manage a team, fostering professional growth.
- DevSecOps Integration: Drive cross-functional collaboration, ensuring security is embedded.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Empower development teams to build secure applications.
- Secure Development: Champion secure design principles, balancing security with business needs.
- Continuous Enhancement: Develop security policies, use cutting-edge tools, and assess risks.
Location: 100% remote, anywhere in NZ, with full working rights.

Required Qualifications:
- Strong background in DevSecOps.
- Proven ability to shape secure development strategies.
- Experience managing budgets and optimizing resource allocation for security programs.
- Deep knowledge of cloud security architecture (AWS, Azure).
- Hands-on experience with threat modeling.
- Recognised security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CSSLP).
- Familiarity with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS).
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments.
