Full-Time District Systems Engineer

District Systems Engineer, Commercial is a vital role in the sales team, providing technical expertise to customers.

Responsibilities:

• Provide pre-sales technical support to sales teams.
• Align security solutions with customer needs and ensure successful deployments.
• Understand customer security challenges and architect solutions.
• Demonstrate the value of Palo Alto Networks' cybersecurity platform.
• Drive technical wins and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Partner with sales teams to meet sales quotas.
• Position, demonstrate, and design security architectures.
• Drive customer adoption of Palo Alto Networks platform.
• Conduct technical discovery and align solutions to customer needs.
• Lead proof-of-concept engagements and technical workshops.
• Collaborate with Professional Services, Customer Success, and Specialist teams.
• Communicate complex security concepts to various stakeholders.
• Orchestrate resources to drive customer success.
• Promote end-to-end security solutions.
• Stay updated on industry trends and security threats.
• Invest in personal development and contribute to the community.
• Demonstrate technical knowledge across SOC, Cloud, Networking, and NetSec.
• Grow into a portfolio architect with expertise from NGFW to SASE, SOC, Cloud, and Unit 42.
• Balance technical acumen with strategic thinking.
• Build and maintain strong relationships and demonstrate consulting skills.
• Understand the competitive landscape.
• Design and architect large, complex environments.
• Develop strong business acumen.
• Travel up to 50% within the assigned district.
• Serve as a role model and mentor.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in pre-sales, sales engineering, or similar.
• Strong understanding of data networking, security architectures, and cloud computing.
• Ability to deliver cybersecurity solutions and align with customer initiatives.
• Influence and gain buy-in from stakeholders.
• Strong technical presentation and workshop delivery skills.
• Expertise in security solutions (Network Security, SASE, SaaS, CNAPP, or SOC Transformation).
• Collaboration with Customer Support teams.
• Background in complex sales cycles is preferred.
