Full-Time Ecological Risk Assessor

AECOM is seeking an experienced and motivated full-time Ecological Risk Assessor to join our risk assessment and remediation practices. Location is flexible (in-office or remote). Responsibilities include:

1. Supporting various Federal client projects across the U.S. (and internationally).
2. Performing field work, as needed.
3. Carrying out ecological risk assessments adhering to regulatory guidelines and project plans.
4. Developing Risk Assessment Work Plans and contributing to Sampling and Analysis Plans/Quality Assurance Project Plans.
5. Coordinating with internal project teams and delegating tasks to junior staff.
6. Preparing technical deliverables (reports, risk assessment calculations).
7. Staying updated on federal and state regulations.
8. Maintaining work quality, quantity, and efficiency above company standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• BA/BS in Environmental Science/Studies, Chemistry, Toxicology, Biology, Ecology, Zoology or related field.
• 4+ years of experience performing ecological risk assessments in an environmental consulting setting.
• US Citizenship.
• Valid Driver's License and successful completion of AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records and background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with data analysis and applied statistics.
• Knowledge of USEPA Ecological Risk Assessment Guidance for Superfund.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Experience evaluating PFAS, PCBs, and lead.
• CERCLA experience (Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, and ROD development).
• Navy or Department of Defense project experience.
• Experience with the Hawaii Department of Health and EPA Region 9.
• Projects in Hawaii, Guam, and other Pacific Islands.
• Preferred work location: Hawaii
• Wildlife assessment experience.
