Full-Time Economist

About the Role: Deel is looking for an Economist to help shape research and economic function.

Responsibilities:

• Level up our Public Reports: Analyze and create narratives for annual reports (Global Hiring, Global Compensation, Trends in AI).
• Translate research findings into reports, articles, and presentations.
• Work with the data team to improve public reporting datasets.
• Economic Research: Develop a research roadmap and rigorous methodologies for data analysis.
• Build partnerships with academic institutions.
• Viral Content Generation: Collaborate with communications on press, social media, and content marketing.
• Customer Tooling: Develop data tools for HR teams.
• Strategic collaborations: Build relationships with researchers, companies, and industry experts.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years experience in analytics or data science.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Curiosity about global economics.
• Research experience on labor markets, globalization.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Experience with data analysis tools.
• Proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with global employment data.
• Knowledge of international labor laws.
