About the Role We are looking for a VSOC Analyst to join us in an embedded role for a virtual 24/7 security operations center (VSOC). Using the latest industry technologies and practices, you will identify, analyze, and advise on adverse conditions and threats. These conditions include: political instability, armed conflict, crime, terrorism, natural hazards, cyber threats, and online malign actors. Being embedded with the client, you will engage directly with the client to provide support and consulting, and assistance with trust and safety issues. This is a fully remote role based in Australia and involves shift work and weekend work.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security incidents and trends using all-source intelligence (alert feeds, traditional and social media, in-house sources).
- Assess likely impact of incidents on staff, assets, operations, events and reputation.
- Support the client's trust and safety function.
- Escalate security incidents to stakeholders.
- Maintain visibility on employee movements and proximity to incidents, advising accordingly.
- Participate in training and drills.
- Support internal stakeholders with reporting on geopolitical developments, scenario planning, forecasts.
- Be an effective team member delivering lean, high-impact services.
- Research and analyze information to create insightful analysis.
Requirements
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Bachelor's degree in related field (e.g., international relations, security studies)
- 1-3 years' experience in intelligence or customer-focused roles.
- Ability to interpret, organize, and visualize data.
- Ability to determine geopolitical/security threat impact.
- Excellent research skills.
- Ability to provide insightful analysis.
- Multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- High-level competency with MS Office and Google Workspace.
- Right to work in Australia.
