About the Role We are seeking a VSOC Analyst for a virtual 24/7 security operations center (VSOC) role. You will identify, analyze, and advise on adverse conditions and threats impacting client safety, security, and operational continuity. These conditions include political instability, armed conflict, crime, terrorism, natural hazards, cyber threats, and online malign actors. You will be embedded with the client, providing immediate support and consulting on trust and safety issues.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security incidents and trends using all-source intelligence (alert feeds, traditional and social media, internal sources).
- Assess impact on staff, assets, operations, events, and reputation.
- Support the client's trust and safety function to address issues on the platform.
- Escalate security incidents to client stakeholders.
- Maintain visibility of employee movements and their proximity to incidents.
- Participate in training and drills to rehearse incident responses.
- Support internal stakeholders with reporting on geopolitical developments, scenario planning, forecasts.
- Deliver lean, high-impact services as a team member.
- Research and analyze information to create insightful analysis.
Requirements
- Fluent in Japanese (written and verbal, including social media terminology).
- Fluent in English (written and verbal).
- Bachelor's degree in relevant fields (International Relations, Security Studies, etc.).
- 1-3 years' experience in intelligence, geopolitical risk, or corporate security.
- Data interpretation, organization, and visualization skills.
- Understanding of geopolitical and security threats' impact on private sector operations.
- Strong research skills to digest and evaluate information.
- Creative insight into complex situations.
- Multitasking and teamwork skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency with MS Office and Google Workspace.
- Right to work in Australia.
