About the Role We are seeking a VSOC Analyst for an embedded role in a virtual 24/7 security operations center (VSOC). Employing cutting-edge industry technologies and practices, you will identify, analyze, and provide counsel on adverse conditions and threats affecting client safety, security, and operational continuity. These encompass political instability, armed conflict, crime, terrorism, natural hazards, cyber threats, and malicious online actors.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security incidents and trends using all-source intelligence (alert feeds, traditional and social media, internal sources).
- Assess impact on staff, assets, operations, events, and reputation.
- Support the Client's trust and safety function, monitoring and responding to platform issues.
- Escalate security incidents to stakeholders.
- Track employee movements and proximity to incidents, providing advisories.
- Participate in training and drills.
- Support internal stakeholders with reporting on geopolitical developments, scenario planning, and forecasts.
- Produce insightful analysis, including presentations and visualizations, adhering to deadlines.
Requirements
- Fluent in Japanese (written and verbal, including social media terminology)
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (e.g., international relations, security studies).
- 1-3 years experience in intelligence, geopolitical risk, corporate security, or similar.
- Data interpretation, organization, and visualization skills.
- Understanding of geopolitical threat impact on private sector operations, travellers, and sites.
- Strong research abilities for rapid information digestion.
- Rigorous, creative insight into complex situations.
- Multitasking and teamwork capabilities.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace.
- Right to work in Australia.
