About the Role We are looking for a VSOC Analyst to join an embedded role in a virtual 24/7 security operations center (VSOC). You will identify, analyze, and advise on adverse conditions and threats impacting client safety, security, and operational continuity. These include political instability, armed conflict, crime, terrorism, natural hazards, cyber threats, and online malign actors.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor security incidents and trends using all-source intelligence (alert feeds, traditional & social media, internal sources).
- Support trust and safety function monitoring and responding to issues on client platform.
- Escalate security incidents to stakeholders, following procedures.
- Maintain visibility on employee movements and proximity to incidents, providing advisories.
- Participate in training and drills for incident response.
- Support internal stakeholders with ad hoc reporting on geopolitical developments, scenario planning, forecasts, etc.
- Research and analyze information to create insightful analysis within deadlines, presenting data & visualizations.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Interpret, organize, and visualize data.
- Determine geopolitical and security threat impacts on private sector operations.
- Rapidly digest, evaluate, and sift information from various sources.
- Provide creative insight into complex situations.
- Multitask in a fast-paced environment, working individually and in teams.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficient with MS Office & Google Workspace.
Qualifications
- Fluent in Korean (written & verbal, including social media terminology).
- Fluent in English (written & verbal).
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (international relations, security studies, etc.).
- 1-3 years' experience in intelligence, customer-focused, geopolitical risk, corporate security, government, law enforcement, or similar.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree.
- Additional language skills.
- Strong professional network.
- Experience working in intelligence or security disciplines.
- Familiarity with a specific geographic region (aligned with language skills).
- Strong personal initiative.
- Familiarity with social media, gaming industry, and relevant legislation.
- Experience with mass notification systems, analytical software, or OSINT tools (Everbridge, Navigator, Genetec).
